Shadow People: Are they real?

Image
What are shadow people? Have people seen them in centuries past?… Or is this a modern day phenomenon? Reading more up on this stuff, I couldn’t help but question if it is of the paranormal. I get it could be sleep paralysis or seeing stuff from your peripheral vision. However, it doesn’t explain people seeing them fully awake in front of them. In recent years, there has been a rise in shadow figure sightings. That is probably due to easily getting your phone out and filming. Not everyone has the best phone With the rise of shadow people’s sightings, there are a lot of hoaxes. There have always been fakes. With shadow people there, easy to fake. And here is why. Anyone can dress all in black and peek out from behind a door frame. You don’t need a photo shop to do something so simple. I have seen a lot of videos on Nuke’s Top Ten channel that has shadow figure peeking out from behind a door frame. If the shadow looks way too solid, then something up. I always find if the “ghost” in these

Different types of hauntings

Image
Before I cover the logical and paranormal explanation of what are ghosts. In this post, I will talk about the different types of ghosts. Without further ado, let’s get into this. Residual Haunting   This is when repeating the same action that a person did when they were alive. Usually, this can cause someone dying a violent death. Where a large among of energy is released, leaving this imprint of the moment of death. The ghost of Gettysburg is a famous example of this. Residual doesn’t have to be visual. It can be audio too. So if you have a recorder or a spirited box and you not getting any intelligent response to your questions. It could be the voices of people from the past on repeat. Intelligent Haunting This is the type of haunting ghost hunters hop to get on their investigations. To have something from the other side, respond to a question in a relevant matter or to have an action performed on command. However, I say something on the other side because it may not be a person. You

Find this on YouTube. I don't know much about this but, I do remember as a kid, watching a documentary about spies during the Cold War used psychic powers.  Those are the type of documentaries my brother would put on and I would there watching them with him. I thought this stuff was bologna. I'm not so sure now.    Here part two:

How to Make a Serial Killer

Image
Full Title: How to Make a Serial Killer: The Twisted Development of Innocent Children into the World's Most Sadistic Murderers Author: Christopher Berry-Dee, & Steven Morris Genre: Nonfiction, Psychology, True Crime Summary: What makes a serial killer? Do they learn how to killed or are then born killers? A long debated question that will be answer in this book. Review: How to Make a Serial Killer opens up with the nurture vs. nature debate. The conclusion is that it is a bit of both. This book is interesting, and it got a lot of good information on the life of some of the infamous serial killers. There is a test the FBI used to test how high of a risk a serial killer is. There are thirteen different categories. If a serial killer falls under 70% of these categories, then they are a high risk to society. However, the test is not perfect because the test looks at a person’s early childhood. There are serial killers that don’t show any sign of childhood abuse or

The Demonologist: The Extraordinary Career of Ed and Lorraine Warren

Image
Author: Gerald Brittle Genre: Biography Review: I don't usually read biographies. When I do it is on people, I find interesting. Ed and Lorraine Warren are one of the most interesting couples. Back in the 1940s, they started ghost hunting. Going to houses helping families with hauntings. Mostly staying in the background with their work. It was not until the 1970s the Amityville Horror that Ed and Lorraine gain mainstream attention. The Warren document all their cases with, photographs, video, and voice recording. They will also travel around the US giving lectures at colleges. The book draws from these interviews, lectures, and recordings. There will be some narration and then a block of dialogue from some interviews. At first, this was off-putting. Once I got used to the writing it did have a nice flow. The Warren gives an in depth definition of what ghost are, instead of saying ghost are dead people that have unfinished business on Earth. To paraphrase it will go something lik

Serial Killer Culture: Documentary

Image
Genre: Documentary Year of Release: 2014 Director: John Borowski Summary: Serial Killer Culture examines the reasons why artists and collectors are fascinated by serial killers. The documentary is done in an interview style with no voice over. The first guy is a collator of John Wayne Gacy’s artwork. He even went to the prison, meet the guy, and took a picture with him. There are a few artists who were interviewed as well. Which doesn’t surprise me. I know some weird artists. One artist paints a painting of crime scenes. He did one of Jonestown and another one of Sharon Tate, which looks pretty cool. There is a folk band and two heavy metal bands that sing about serial killers. The moral concerns of collecting stuff that belongs to serial killers are addressed. There are some good points made. The first guy that was interviewed stopped doing it when his son was born. People have been collecting serial killer memorabilia (a lot of the people in this doc don’t like ref
